*Last May, Sarah and Henry found this new raman place in Tokyo. What I remembered was the smell of soup . so.. I have read the map in advance and decided this raman place will be my first meal in this Tokyo trip. This time, we went to the store in Roppongi.
* Before you step in the store, you have to buy food ticket in the vendor machine. It is kind of adventure since most of time we were guessing what to do. Later I checked the travel book. We have to choice how much the noodle, whether you want to add more pork, to add more green onion or to buy the half-boiled eggs.
*The layout inside is several individual eating booth. You choice the empty one and put the ticket you bought in front the window. Service people will pick up those ticket to prepare the noodle you want. Before you have your noodle in front of you, you also have to fill out a questionnaire regarding the noodle. ( like how thick of stock, how much for garlic, whether to put onion or not ,or you want spicy or not , even how hard of noodle). There is a curtain to separate the kitchen and you. No one will see the look you are eating raman. You can only focus on the bowl in front of you. From buying ticket to finishing eating , you don't need to speak a word. It is a silent place.
* Tai-ting and I liked the soup and finished it all. However, Ali didn't like it. I checked the reasons. I found her soup was not as hot as mine. and, the questionnaire regarding noodle , I almost checked " basic". Ali checked the heavy column, like the thickest of stock, spiciest for the soup. Which seemed make soup taste strange.
