It is the first time I attend a Michelin 3 stars restaurant. We were so worried about what to wear before we come. Fortunately, there is no very strict dressing code here. As long as I don’t wear short pants and slipper, I can walk in.
We were so excited. We came to the 3rd floor of Old Lisboa. It was too early. The door of restaurant still wasn’t opened yet. I wandered around the front door. There is a wine collection shelves over there. I’ve heard that the wine collection of this restaurant is very famous. We should have one bottle later.
The decoration of the restaurant is very old European style. The base color is from that deep blue carpet. Other accessories are in yellow to make it contrast. The color tune is very heavy. Overall, I was not impressed by the decoration of restaurant. Especially, when I saw that there is one crystal Chinese zodiac on each table. But I like the lady’s room very much. The door of lady’s room is automatic. So the clean hands after washed don’t have to push or touch the door. There is a dresser in the lady’s room. The restaurant provides sterilized combs. I usually see the combs in the hot-spring SPA place or the lady’s room in the golf course. It is the first time I saw the combs in a restaurant’s lady’s room. I feel it is thoughtful.
The waitress explained menu to us nicely in Chinese not in Cantonese. There are 3 set menus, which are in HKD 398, 498 and 638. We all had HKD 498 meal. Joanne opened a champion which she had last time. Later, after I checked the bill, I found the champion was around HKD 1200. No wonder the champion was so good.
The waitress pushed the bread cart to us. There were over 10 kind selections. We had no idea which one is the best. So waitress picked up each one for us. I loved the bread. Every one was great. Joanne’s favor was the bacon bread.
The welcome dish was half tomato and half asparagus. All were in creamy form. The taste of tomato was very fresh and flavor was very rich.

I was quite impressed by the ox tail, because the taste was like what my mom cooks beef. It was melt in my mouth. And there were some gold foil on it.
